As a fourth generation craftsperson, Jon Goulder was surrounded by furniture from a young age. Even though his early observations were of antique furniture he chose to honour the beauty of simpler lines throughout his career. Internationally acclaimed and award winning, he has exhibited around the world and is part of many permanent state and national collections.

Thriving on large and small scale commissions while also working on his third major solo exhibition, Jon is an industrious maker with over 20 designs currently under licence. As the Creative Director for furniture at Adelaide’s Jam Factory he is interested in developing financially sustainable working models for art, craft and design practitioners. He comes to Dessein through a shared respect and long term vision for the industry.
