From the heart of Launceston, Simon Ancher comes to Dessein with a sense of purpose and resourcefulness. His commitment to sustainable practices is closely aligned to the Dessein ethos and the chance to collaborate with like-minded designers on a new range was an offer too good to miss.

Simon’s studies in both furniture and environmental design have allowed him to develop an organic and inspired practise. As well as having his own furniture range, he has worked on numerous commissions including public art, seating and interior fit outs. While he loves watching new ideas take form from concept to prototypes and development, it’s the lifestyle and connection to place that he values as a designer.
